In the early 1990s Galin got to know Alexander Svetakov who lived in the neighbourhood. Galin maintained contacts with Singaporean businessmen, while Alexander Svetakov and Andrei Truskov dealt with computers. Three of them teamed up to establish Absolute LLP that was engaged in computer and office equipment business. In 2000 Galin parted with his partners, but he still has dealings with them in a few projects, including the bank.

     In 2006 before the new issue of Eurobonds Absolute Bank disclosed  information on the stakes of the shareholders. Board member Gleb Galin owned 15.46%.

     In June 2007  shareholders of  Absolute Group Alexander Svetakov, Gleb Galin, Andrei Truskov, Mikhail Serdtsev and Andrei Kosolapov sold 92,5% of Absolute Bank's shares to   KBC Group, Belgia, for 1 billion dollars. Almost a third of the proceeds was entrusted to the administration of Everest Asset Management MC.

     15 September 2007 at the Moscow City Golf Club a golf tournament named 20 years of the first Russian golf club took place. During the opening ceremony Gleb Galin was awarded   special prize  For the devotion to the Club.

     In 2011  former co-owner of Absolute Bank Gleb Galin was ranked  478  in the list of Russia's richest   businessmen. His wealth was estimated at  4.9 billion rubles.
